My wife's car has electric folding mirrors, the near side one is fine in the frosty mornings, but the off side one gets stuck.

What is the best way to free this up?

I have thought about some wd40 spray or oil? I don't want to damage it by applying either.

suggestions please

Can you turn off the autofold function, maybe just do that for the winter months.

This. Alternatively I pour lukewarm water over the mirrors before I unlock the car.

Yes we can but it's an S80 and wifey parks in a car park at work which has narrow spaces.... will suggest it to her!

She isn't the patient type to go through that .... it's my fault it's frosty in the first place... not global warming
