I'm hoping someone can give me some direction on where to go next. With this , as we cannot find any local mechanics prepared to come out and the van is too big to tow anywhere.
My Son changed the interior light fuse on his 2014 Ford. Transit, and since then, the Van has refused to start giving a message that the Van had been involved in an accident
We have replaced the colission sensitive switch in the passenger footwell, and this has made no difference. The fuel pump still will not function. All fuses seem good - we as a loss to know what to check next? Has anybody had a similar experience or can point me in the right direction, pleasew

Sounds like you need a mobile auto electrician?

Easily fixed by paying a recovery company to recover it for you.

I wonder whether the body module thinks air bags have deployed, or something like that. Have you tried disabling the alarm and then disconnecting the vehicle battery for a couple of minutes? Perhaps that will reset it.

Why was the fuse changed? Have you tried reverting whatever was done there?

CANT FIND A GARAGE TO TAKE IT TOO

WE HAVE CANCELLED THE CODE A FEW TIMES BUT IT REAPPEARS WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED BACK ON.
ILL TRY DISCONECTING THE BATTERY THIS EVENING

THE INTERIOR (BODY) LIGHT HAD BLOWN A FUSE. PUT A NEW FUSE IN NOW WORKS. HARD TO SEE A WAY TO REVERSE THAT.

Thanks for the answers so far.
I should have mentioned that we have cancelled the code a number of times but it reappears when the ignition is turned back on.

When you say "you've replaced the switch" in the pass footwell, I assume you've pushed the switch right in on it?

To check its working, you can pull it out and check for continuity with a meter (from around 11 mins in)

The switch is new so "probably" ok but will check continuity this pm. Button is pushed in.
Useful video though

Have you scanned it? Forescan is free but you would need a lead or Bluetooth module from tunnel rat

To put a conclusion to this - van towed to an Auto electrician who Reprogrmed BCM /ECU and both keys. All now well and £340 the poorer .
Thanks to all who commented.

Cheers for updating the thread, wonder how that happened though? Somehow shorted something while changing the fuse? confused

Or was something already broken at that point which caused the fuse to blow? odd

There are some big, fat fusible links located under the seat by the battery (model dependant) - worth checking.
