PR by accident? Probably not, but we can dream

It seems to be going unnoticed in the mainstream media so far, but a vote in the House of Commons today has just been passed in favour of introducing PR for Parliamentary and Local elections:

It'll probably be kicked into the long grass somehow by the government, who will not be wanting such excellent principles and legislation to pass into law, but still. Maybe. Just maybe it'll continue through and happen. Where there's life, there's hope.
Amused to note that it appears one Reform MP voted against, despite PR being in their manifesto. Probably just a knee-jerk reaction against anything LibDem.
Well done Sarah Olney, well done the LibDems, and all those others who voted in favour. We might actually get a democracy worth its name in one day in this country.
