If someone agreed to buy you a bike (lottery winning relative?) and would also pay for insurance and maintenance, what would you get?

Only condition is that you can’t sell it, or rather if you sell it, they get all the money from the sale. So it is free to you (apart from fuel and accessories) but you can’t flip it to buy something else.

RC213V or a Desmosedici.

It would be a bit different if you said it had to be your one and only bike.

I agree, RC213V.

Albeit, I would also be very tempted by this (although it's probably crap to ride)

Triumph Street Triple

I know it isn't very exotic, but i tried one on Portimao Circuit years ago and loved it, and it wouldn't cost me too much to run and insure unlike some of the more high-end examples being touted.

Maintenance and insurance are paid for so all you are putting in is fuel.

Never one to miss an opportunity - the 765RS street triple I had was by far the worst bike I've ever owned.

I've never ridden one, so again it might be an awful ride, but They just look fabulous to me. Godet Egli-Vincent

And I've always fancied a Petronas FP1. They are a pretty epic ride according to 44 teeth.

It's all very well paying for maintenance, but what happens when it breaks down? I don't want to be stranded at the side of an Alpine road because the computer said no, or the gearbox shat it.

If the support vehicle has everything required to keep me going a Vincent Black Shadow could be satisfying.

Might be a challenging ride down my favourite B roads!

I'd probably go big tourer, Goldwing, K1600, big Indian or Harley.

A completely built/modified bike. From the ground up.

Saying that I'd be happy with any of these ^

It has a turbine engine so it's sort of allowed.

Mine would be the Britten V1000.
Lunacy for all the right reasons.

They make loads of cool stuff, I'd probably have a handful with a lottery win!

Yeah I'd say a new Goldwing tbh, I'd actually use it and it would last.

I think it would have to be an NR750. It'd be slow and a bit rubbish compared to modern superbikes, but what a thing. Would just be lovely to look at and use on warm summer evenings.

Custom bobber type thing with a J.A.P. V twin engine (they built some chops a few years ago and have always had a want for something similar).
