What missing? Anything?

Busy the past few weeks so my 2011 mini One failed MOT because they couldn't get the engine hot enough to do the emissions test I left the garage to it.

Diagnosed as a leaking thermostat housing (which I knew about) so they replaced it and MOT was fine.

Today is the first time I've had the bonnet up to do an oil change etc and seen what looks like a siney new bit of pipework with an unconnected sensor, centre pic.



Anything missing or is it a part from a different/newer model where my old One doesnt need it. Cant find anything disconnected?

Certainly running perfectly well as normal.

That's the old temp sensor, the new thermostat which is a common fault has a temp sensor built in so that is used. You should see the same connector plugged into the thermostat.

Cheers, thought it would be something like that. I'll just tape it up save it getting full of crap.
