NHS whistlebowing

Earlier this year I had a medical problem which has since cleared up by itself but at the time it was causing some problems and I was put in touch with a surgeon. There was a phone consultation which I felt was (very) rushed and I had quite a few questions to ask which he explained would be answered in he literature I would be sent by post which I've not t received. As a parting question and in a semi-jokey way I asked him how many of these surgeries he'd undertaken to which he started laughing in quite the manic way saying he's done 'hundreds of thousands' of them and that was how he made his living. I thought that was a reasonable question to ask - I didn't ask him which university he attended or what grade he graduated with. His reaction was almost like I'd offended him and I've had no further contact with the hospital, no post, no dates. It's almost like I've been discharged without my knowledge. To be honest he's not someone I'd want operating on me or anyone else given his poor reaction and temperament. Is it worth highlighting in the NHS whistle blowing process?
Stick their name into google and there will most likely be a page on Nuffield or Spire and it will have a list of academic achievements including which uni, professional qualifications etcGassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
