I have a black GTC Lusso that needs PPF. I was thinking about getting wrapped instead (low key matt black). Likely to keep car for a while so interested to know your thoughts on doing this. Nervous I might regret it and don’t know if it’s easy to unwrap any problems selling…

If the question is to wrap your expensive car in any matt colour so that you look like a tt who also drives an A class AMG, then the answer is always: No.

If you need to ask this question in the first place, then the answer is: No.

life's too short to care what people think about your colour choice in a wrap. the more important thing in what's being asked is how easy is it to remove and will there be any damage that could affect resellling.

I thought many cars like this got a full ppf wrap anyway to protect the original paint?

If you want something different matt black is SO passé.

If I was going to wrap a super car I’d go for a vintage racing colour scheme.

Maybe for a Lusso something paying homage to this:

Not very low key but you’d make a lot of car nerds smile.

It I was shopping for a supercar and found one with full PPF that would be a positive.

If I found one that had been wrapped - I'd continue looking

I don't think id buy anything except a real old cheap thing if it was wrapped. Far too much to be hidden beneath.

An option for you could be a matt or satin ppf. Will make the car look matte with all the pdf benefits.

That's v good advice! I have mine with PPF on them and have always gone full PPF. But the latest one I've just done the 'track pack' i.e. front end and sills. They're the vulnerable bits, but I digress from the above very sound advice.

Satin PPF is the way to go. Here’s my Metallic Black Range Rover with Suntek Satin PPF.
