Been reading all about it on his site. Was at a breakers due to an engine/oil problem. Quite a bit been spent on it so far. I think he’s up to about £8k all in now.
He reminds me of a chap who used to do the same with BMW’s/Mercs. He was a surgeon I think. One in, one out. Spent months getting them up to spec/really nice, then sold on.

If you're genuinely looked for a 9-5, I would consider selling mine from my collection.
It's a super rare 2005 9-5 Aero manual in the sought after Espresso. Tan leather, climate, heated seats, all the usual Aero bits.
It's had essentially two long term owners from new and now has 183K. I have every single receipt and MOT from new, both keys, and all maintenance docs. I have a detailed spreadsheet, and all the invoices add up to £26,000.
Recent new items include a new TD04 turbo from SAAB, new radiator, clutch, Maptun cat back exhaust, do88 huge intercooler with over size pipe kit, do88 intake hose with new MAF, do88 full coolant and heater hose kit, new stat/switch, tank and coolant. The engine has been running Noobtune software since 2018 and is around 285HP with 430Nm. Insane. Uses no oil or coolant.
I've just had a major service with Aero plugs, all filters, and lots of other items. I have fitted the 7.5x17" alloys from a 9-3 V6 as they sit nicer and look very similar to the original 9-5 Aero wheel and fitted four new 225/45/17 tyres.
It's a London car, so expect some marks, mainly the front bumper needs painting but, critically, there is absolutely no rust anywhere on it. Very hard to find now as all of these are suffering in the common areas such as rear doglegs, rear sills etc.
Shoot me a PM if interested. At least you know it hasn't been in a scrap yard!
