I’ve owned this for years but it was put in storage until last year when I finally got it back on the road. This is epic fun, even just cruising around on todays roads and it sounds like thunder

Wow. And another green Montego Turbo. Also, need to hear more about that Bond Bug. I have a Matchbox one in the same colour...

Yeah, I posted the Montego on here a couple of days ago, see separate post 👏
I’ve not posted the Bond Bug yet, I’ll do it, had that a few years and it’s another great driving experience on todays boring roads 😛

Very nice and bet it’s a hoot , pardon my ignorance but looks like an odd roof line/rear pillars?

The rear pillars are just a bit of red Perspex stuck to the original vents to give the appearance of a traditional style pillar. Easily put back to original, I have another two pairs of the original pillar vents which just bolt on. I quite like the mod personally, gives a more streamlined muscle look rather than the original notch back

I like it. Looks more "finished" than the original.

I have that DVD too, good watch.
I like watching all the old rally footage from late 70s early 80s too with the V8 TR7s. Here’s Tony Pond winning the 1980 Manx rally

Your TR7 looks like loads of fun!

I enjoyed your Montego thread too - will look out for one on the Bug.

Lovely! I bet it sounds wonderful.

I think the fact that I didn’t even notice the mod to the rear pillars is testament to how ‘right’ they look.

I know what it is but that picture of the two bugs looks like you have just set up some Colombian marching powder.
I’ve lusted after a V8 TR7 coupe since I was a kid.

Agreed - simple, but very effective.

Cool, whats the spec ?

Quite partial to a TR7, was a big deal when I was a kid when they came out, had a toy one and my dad brought one home for some reason and that was very exciting.
