This is a starter for Porsche GT car production figures ... to be refined.

Of course the Porsche market has expanded quickly, but how quickly ?

Porsche got a hard time for the overs market in recent years and the difficulty in getting an allocation, but there's no doubting they upped production massively to meet demand - of the regular GT3 and RS models at least.

Doesn’t the 991 speedster have the 991.2 gt3 engine, if so you could technically add it to the list.

Be great if we could get data for the 718 gt4 rs, 718 gt4, 981 gt4.

Looking at the data I would be shocked if we don’t see a 992.2 gt2rs

Certainly puts in to context what you could call rare and what isn’t. 15k 992gt3 that’s a lot and I personally don’t think the market is big enough for that number of cars!

Interesting data.

Note the production numbers of the 991.1 991.2 and 992 GT3s have increased by roughly 50% over each generation.

Could the 992.2 gt3 be built in lower numbers than the 992.2 gt3!

Porsche will have to churn them out largely irrespective of demand.

You’re probably correct, Porsche appears to be all about ramping up new car production numbers nowadays.

Looking at the data it all changed after the 997.

Thanks, 173 ... I'll put that in on the next batch.

Regarding numbers 991 v. 992 ... 991 will be higher because we have yet to see 992.2 but 992 so far incudes Covid ...

Thanks, there's also the 964 3.8RS and other very limited models ... 964RS N-GT numbers aren't I think included in the 964RS because they had a different vin number series (unlike the 993RS N-GT (Clubsport) ... should I add these ?

Yep VW acquired the rest of Porsche in 2012, and then dieselgate in 2015… All adds to the cranking out the cash cows

Any chance of adding normal GT4, both 981 and 718 flavours?
