I've had this passed on Whatsapp a couple of times today. Agree that it's something of a st show currently but it's not unexpected and was voted for quite convincingly.

The other problem is at the moment there's it's no organised opposition. What would be gained by allowing the Conservatives back in at this point?

It would have been much better if Labour had campaigned on a ticket of rejoining the EU at least we would have had ax plan on how to get our country back on track.

What are the other suggestions?

Someone on a WhatsApp group claimed it was the biggest response to a petition in history when it reached one million signatures.
I pointed out the reverse Brexit one was six times that and nothing happened.
He failed to reply…

All the polls are consistently telling us that most regret their decision and Trump’s incoming tariffs provide further food for thought. Yep. I’m so enraged by this government that’ll I sign a petition. That’ll show ‘em. Starmer has convened Cobra and planning his escape as I type such is the power of a .gov petition.

At least the French burn sheep and set fire to a few things to voice their anger but it’s too much to actually go outside and light a brazier or two and protest so clicking a link will do just fine. Jesus wept, people are getting silly on Twitter and whatnot thinking what they are doing will change things.

Signing a petition on the Gov website takes no more than a couple of minutes, so again what is it it that makes you so upset and angry that you refer to those taking a couple of minutes to sign a petition as “lazy f*ckwits”?

I don’t think for one minute that the vast majority of those signing the petition think anything will come of it, it’s nothing more than a means of expressing their displeasure in the way the countries being led.
