Has the price for one fallen out of favour? Reduction of £77k from £270k for a 250mile one. That's over £300/mile. Must have been a very expensive run to get the milk

In the early days many were exported from the UK giving the impression that demand was far higher for the car than it really was.

In this market far too many GT cars (I know Dakar isn't a GT !) are looking for far too few new owners ... I'm about to post a thread summarising the number of each generation manufactured ... courtesy of the last issue ... the very last issue of Total 911. It will be missed for its focus and summary of all models across the decades ... a bit like Flat 6 ??

if they come out with a X pack type option on the 992.2 like has been rumored for a while, these have more to fall. Much as i like them, v risky to get in at these price levels.

Seemed odd to make them a limited run.

Surely a jacked up 4S or whatever it's based on would make a perfect daily for UK roads and weather. Sell it for a slight mark up and sell loads.

I guess they've got full order books as it is.

Porsche only setting a £95k GFV in 3 years. Ethey think this will shed half again…

Best everyday 911 for awful roads in UK. Roof rack and tent or bikes.

Must say I would love a PTS Dakar. Perfect ridiculous real world car for me on potholed UK roads. Bahama yellow, please.

I can do without the rally stickers too. But I understand other people liking them.

I love some of the instagram photos of these cars parked outside Tiffany's and wotnot covered in mud.

Am not in Insta but can you share? I agree it’s the real world king of sportscars right now. A bit wide to be perfect but near to.

Not sure how to link the photo outside of instagram. But maybe you can access this link. One of the camera angles shows the car is parked outside Tiffany's, which for some reason I find quite funny. Car is in US:

And there is this on in Mayfair, London.

Really, really beautiful car Monch. Congratulations. Is that BRG, or which PTS is it. Regardless, very stealthy, very tasteful. And great to see it being used properly. Curious: are you using the standard tyres in the snow or are their additional winter snow tyres that are recommended for the Dakar in such conditions? If the standard tyres are supposed to work in the Sahara then I imagine the compound would be too hard in cold conditions?

The colour is Irish Green

I am driving on the Pirelli Winter tyre as recommended by Porsche, N rated.
The chunky off-road tyres do not have the 3PSF eu marking, so therefore EU countries do not recognise it as a proper winter tyre.
They're good tyres, but in Scandinavia, studs would be best as they do not clear their roads of snow or ice.

Dakar is the best winter 911 ever. And I love it. :-)

That white one, obviously staged mud looking at the way it's covered. No way is that the result of hooning around a grassy field or a proper day out on the muddy lanes. Insta- nonsense.

The green one. Monch, that is fabulous. I'd have one just like yours any day of the week over any GT3 model. And clearly being used and enjoyed properly in a way the white one I'd put money on, isn't.
