How the f*ck does this keep happening?!

Mother ‘turned a blind eye’ to the monster who was battering her daughter, and the pair of them then took her dead body out “for a walk” in a buggy to conceal the crime, before leaving her in a toilet.

Just no words.

I hope the punishments are suitably reflective.

That article is a tough read.

Utterly tragic.

Well if you read the article it's just about every example of "poor kid never stood a chance" grim bingo you could think of isn't it?

Mother with a lot of issues a "boyfriend" who looks the sort of person you'd want nowhere near your family throw in what sounds like some drug issues and I'll guess an element of historical behavioural issues prior to this and it's just a tragedy waiting to happen.

And it'll happen again - there is no way to stop it.

As someone who has two children I just can't read these stories as they are so upsetting.

How can these mothers just sit back and let these men beat their children to death?

Hopefully he will gets what's coming to him in prison and be beaten to death.

Authority's blind eye to drug taking is adding to situations like this.

This is so tragic and angers me so much. Seeing the picture of that beautiful little girl laughing on a swing with the mum who was to destroy her is both heart breaking and chilling.

It'll probably never happen but I hope the couple get true punishment once inside.

Holy st! That is horrific. That poor little girl, she was not a toddler but an infant, and a lovely little one at that. I truly hope that scum bag gets what’s coming to him inside. I’m absolutely shocked at the report. The attack sounds truly savage and then to wheel her dead boy about while they get wrecked is insane.

Awful. Let's hope for a sentence that ends both their lines.

But she won't be the last. We are animals with biological imperatives and that is exactly what happens in the animal kingdom. frown

I don’t have kids but find that story deeply upsetting, poor little girl.

I don’t care what the bleeding heart do-gooders on here say - should be a lethal injection for him, life in prison for her (hoping she gets terrorised daily).

I love it when we agree as it's rare. Sadly the topic we agree on is "it'll happen again".

Reason is 70m people and sooner or layer 2 wrong uns' meet. That's it I am afraid. Actual dad not on the scene for whatever reason he must be broken now.

There’s also the complete failure of Social Services, the police and courts, and the general slow rot of society, all of which inevitably contribute towards a breed of underclass who are barely on the same plane as the rest of the population. These people prosper in a world which largely just leaves them to it, just as rats prosper in a filthy sewer, until they do something awful and then society is shocked at it.

You’d have to be pretty much totally absent from basic humanity to batter a small child to death, or as a mother to just stand by and let that happen, or to then walk around with the body in a pushchair and then abandon it in a toilet. There have always been people in society who are evil, but some of these appalling cases seem to hint at something else, it’s almost as if these ‘individuals’ just don’t live in the same world as the rest of us, they’re so just so far removed from the basic guidelines of human behaviour, almost feral. I can’t see things improving any time soon either, depressingly.

Walking around with the dead body was particularly stomach churning. But again going to the pub being seen laughing not seen sitting there shell shocked unable to talk. This pair just aren't the same as 99% of us. He will I hope get 30 plus years an her similar

Absolutely vile and a very upsetting read.
