V5 query

Hi I have recently changed my car with a garage putting my old car in as part ex I handed my V5 over to the garage they said they would sort it I acquired my new car on 19th October payment made same day and part ex, I received my new V5 through the post and the date on it for Acquired vehicle is 1st November another query is on gov.UK it is saying my new car is already taxed until 1st of June 2025 should I be concerned any comments welcome

Lots of garages will hold off on changing ownership for a while in case of hand-backs. The tax will cancel off shortly so you may as well get it done to save any grief.

Thanks for reply why does it take so long for the tax to update on gov.uk am I still ok legally to drive car as long as gov UK says the car is taxed ?
