Hi

Im working near Bank next week which is not an area I know and have plans to meet an old mate for lunch

Not posh restaurant fancy and as I have to work the afternoon probably not a boozer.......

A cafe or restaurant would fit the bill nicely if anyone knows of one - as would a sit in sandwich bar if it was nice and they were happy with us chatting over a few coffees for an hour or so

The current plan is a 10-15 min walk to Borough market and take my chances with "Instagrammers"

Cheers

Le Relais de Venise l'Entrecôte is my go to.

No booking, turn up and they do steak, chips and salad. Not much else on the menu.

Fast service so you should turn it around in an hour.

I think it's £30 set menu.

Good shout. Also, directly opposite is Soho Coffee Co which does flatbread things for lunch but most relevantly has big round tables and no thumpy music.

Yup. Don't be put off by it being a Wetherspoons. This is an amazing space, recently renovated.
