Check what the mileage is on the engine ECU and see if matches what the odometer says. If they match, nothing suspicious to worry about.

If it does, take both keys with you on the next journey and see if they sync up. If not, go to the dealer and ask them to look into it.

I must say though, your post reads like an AI bot. Very strange.

What's the mileage recorded on MOT History website?

MOT history is the correct mileage as the car odometer says

The bmw dealership, suppose they service cars with a different set of keys that aren’t the regular keys, than all the service log history will be on the incorrect mileage.

Therefore the service log book in the car is inaccurate to the cars own odometer

To what end? As an aside I've never had a BMW that didn't match idrive/odometer/app, hardly anyone reads their keys if you're so worried get them to read the keys and see what they say.

AIUI they upload a full version of the service history each time which over-writes the previous version. Presumably they've just mistakenly uploaded the history from another car. Maybe go back and ask them to check rather than making out it's some big and rather pointless conspiracy.

I went to them and they said the spare reads a different mileage to your everyday day key and mileage is taken from the key and not the car. They rectified my service log over the air and updated it to show my odometer mileage

It’s not a mistake because it happened game twice and both times I gave a spare key. This is a wider problem

Sounds like you're sorted then, what's all the fuss about?

I thought everyone knew that?! How would your spare key get your updated readings if you aren't using it?

So I thought I would mention this as I am likely to pursue legal action

Why would you get your car serviced at the wrong mileage, I don’t think anyone knows this

I can’t see posting it on a public forum harming that at all.

So they ve sorted the issue and now your planning going legal?,,

Please can you explain just how and what your case will be?

My case will be that many cars serviced by bmw may have a flawed service book that is not correct as per the odometer readings and actual mileage when service was taking place

I messaged on this forum to ask if people have a had similar issue. If you don’t have anything that adds value or merit, please do not share it
