E89 Z4 software upgrade

Wanting to try to update software to "Multimedia MX-003-005-004" "TX-003-005-008"...

Anyone have the software download file? It's a 2013 Z4 35i...US model

Bear in mind though that this is the combox compatibility tables for bluetooth phone compatibility - it's not the software itself or anything really useful. You need proper diagnostic gear for that.

Thanks ill give it a try. I'm just wanting to see music titles when I'm streaming music. My X1 with the same software shows titles...

Tried to update. came with an Error... File not up-to-date. Used new thumbdrive, formated to FAT32 and put file in the root directory. Used USB in Center Console./// Oh well

I updated my 335d as the above screenshot shows but my X6 refused even though I followed the same steps. I even tried the X6 one in the 335d but got nowhere.

I didn't figure it out at the time, but in retrospect, the only difference was... the dates apart. Not tried myself, but worth a go?

Changed the date on the car and this allowed the software to update! Great advice as always!

I chanced upon this thread, that was my original req on the linked forum; rolling the date back to 2021 allowed UPD1008 to apply finally.

Looks like it only changes the telephony side, rather than multimedia (which is still the same from UPD1006) but it’s satisfying to update it to the latest..
