Hi All,
I've had a challenge for the last two years registering my vehicle!
I bought a Land Rover 110 with 6 wheels and a tipping back (thought it was cool) on auction 2 years ago. It was coming over from Ireland and the ad said register it with DVLA which I thought would be ok...
When I applied the DVLA flagged up that the VIN number was in fact a Range Rover which was my initial red flag. They then asked for a Certificate of Conformity which doesn't exist for the vehicle in the current state, even if you ignore the 3rd axel and tipping back.
After many circles contacting Land Rover (and Global team) and the British Motor Museum, I'm now being asked by the DVLA to effectively crash test it for it to potentially pass.
Obviously I don't want to do that as then I won't even have a vehicle to look at. Can anyone help or suggest anything please!?

There’s no reason why you would need a crash test but it does sound like it would need an IVA test since it’s a radically altered vehicle and there is no type approval.

It sounds like the seller may have been aware of this hence why they sold to export.

Hmmm... I wonder if it started life as a TACR2.
