It’s that time of year again when we can all get excited about our favourite event in December. And no, we’re not talking about that jolly old chap in the red suit paying you a visit – it’s our Thruxton Sunday Service of course! Now proving to be one of the most popular venues on our Sunday Service calendar, we’re heading back to Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire on December 1st with our good friends at Mission Motorsport.
Thruxton will be throwing open the doors to their Motorsport Centre, serving up hot brews and breakfast baps to help everyone thaw out. Mission Motorsport will be running the extremely popular skid pan for the morning, where you can take your own car for a spin (quite literally) or hire either an MX-5 or F-Type from their fleet.
No matter what you own, be it front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or all four, a skid pan is the perfect place to learn car control in slow motion. Want to provoke some lift-off oversteer in your hot hatch or flick out the back end of your MX-5? There is nowhere better. All of the money raised will go towards helping the MM team do what they do best.
The skid pan will be run in 30-minute sessions with six cars per group. It's £30 per session (plus booking fee) - spaces will sell very quickly and are available to book here. Ensure that you're at the skid pan at least 15 minutes before your allocated session for a briefing and to keep the groups moving on time.
Once again, there will be a rare opportunity to walk the track at 11:00, where you can walk the full 2.4-mile circuit to warm up. It's £7 per person (plus booking fee) and you can book your space here. All proceeds raised from the event will help Mission Motorsport, The Forces' Motorsport Charity help the wounded, injured or sick Armed Forces community on a journey of recovery.

One genuinely can't wait to be back at Thruxton! It's always a highlight of the year & pretty much my final car event of the year before one goes all Christmasy....
I also can't wait to see Skidpan action again after it not happening last year but preying the temperature is above zero! Unlike in 2022 where i couldn't walk round the cars due to the ground being so frozen.
Still i enjoyed that one & all the others so far. December 1st can't come soon enough!

I've booked this for the car I plan to bring.
But if the whether is ok, I'll probably bring another car.
Is this ok or am I likely to be turned away at the entrance even if I have the digital ticket in my name?
