E90 wing mirror replacement

Hi all

Looking for some advice…. have a 2012 White 320D Sport; which I believe is an E90.
Partner recently had a ‘scrape’ with a lorry and smashed the drivers side mirror; which needs replacing.
Can’t afford the sky high prices I’ve been quoted to replace.

Looking for some advice on: -
1. Is it something that I could replace myself?
2. Second hand sources and what I would ask for?

Apologies if I haven’t given enough info or it’s in the wrong format.

Do you know if it's heated? Do you know if it's just standard or do they dim as well etc?

Yes its an easy DIY; and I'd buy brand new if you can. If it's just standard and heated, an aftermarket one will suffice, no need to go OEM

Plenty of second hand ones on eBay.

A piece of cake to replace - literally 15 minutes. Three torx screws behind the black trim and a wiring plug. That's it.

A non M Sport mirror is 40 quid, M Sport mirrors are the same but generally with shiny black bits. Non Sport ones bolt on and you can t cut the black bits to get more of a shine. It depends how fussy you are.

E90 is the 2005-12 four door.
E91 is the estate.
E92 is the Coupe.
E93 is the Convertible.

After 2012 is the F30 3 Series and '13 onwards is 4 Series.

Does it have a side-repeat indicator in the housing? That will need to be replaced (or run illegal) if damaged.
