DB11 AMR Upgrade Cost Query
Discussion
I'm looking at a low mileage Launch Edition DB11 in stunning Aquamarine black and the dealer has said that they would do a good discount on the £4,500 AMR upgrade. Previous posts have suggested this used to cost around £1,500.
Am I missing something, or are there differing levels of upgrade?
Many TIA!!

In this market the dealers should be chucking it in for free if you want it. Just make it a condition of the sale. The upgrade is just a new suite of engine, trans and damping software profiles and a new engine plaque. There are no other variants beyond paying a fair bit more for the 'real' 2019-2022 AMR which also has some minor hardware updates, some cosmetic differences and a really nice set of light forged wheels.
The AMR update marketed from the launch of the real AMR was originally about the price you mention but has long been offered by dealers for c. £1k.

Thank-you. Market here seems quite hot, tbh. I looked at a 17MY with 10k and already had the AMR upgrade and carbon engine cover. It, together with a genuine AMR sold whilst I was mulling it over. The AMR update marketed from the launch of the real AMR was originally about the price you mention but has long been offered by dealers for c. £1k.
The one I'm pretty sure that I'm taking had 3 potential buyers. I'll try for a better deal but I'm not sure how it'll work out.
Bought my Launch Edition DB11 last December from AM Bristol, got them to throw in the AMR upgrade as part of my offer as I stated I was looking at others at the same price point that had the upgrade already done. It was an easy give for them. At the time they quoted it was a £1,750 cost to do it.
It's well worth it, makes Sport+ mode even more fun!

There is a great car salesman trick.
When you are negotiating, your salesman might be interrupted by a phone call. It will actually be from one of his colleagues, but from what you can hear, you will think another customer is keen to buy the very car, that you are interested in.
Punter pressure number 3 - always a winner.
