I’m looking for an MX-5 or MR2 and spotted this MR2 in the PH classifieds - as it’s got a PH sticker on it I wondered if anyone on here knew the car ?

No MOT - Why? Ask for you own garage to do a Mot check, dont rely on selling garage Mot. How many of the recent Advisories have been addressed?, it's a long list.
Check for rust v.carefully like all Japanese cars, this ones already had welding done by the look of it.in 2020, & more advisories since.....
Parking brake has constant issues. This is a weak point, there should be an recent invoice that it's all been sorted, as they're inboard & more expensive (& that one side hasn't been bodged to make it look like both sides are working).
Check condition of radiator, also expensive if needing replacement.
Check condition of hood.
Exhaust is odd. Usually it's to the side, or the rare TRD one was both sides.
Despite being a Toyota, these can leak small amounts of oil. Check engine seals
Check sump - they rot to.
Check for Lambda sensors replacement invoice present - lots of engine failing emissions notes on Mots.
MR2 parts getting harder to find.


Rare to have aircon - check it all works
Leather interior also better than cloth.
