Sunday evening meal leaving Le Mans
Discussion
Hi
We will be leaving after the race ends and staying Sunday night at Abbeville, so we can get an early tunnel on Monday morning.
Knowing that restaurants in France close early on Sunday (if they are even open, outside big cities), can anyone recommend places to stop for food (Rouen maybe?).
Thanks

Honfleur in nice. Tourist hot spot, so openings are better.
Stayed here before, nice room looking out to the port. Hotel nice and parking opposite.
Row of restaurants in front of the hotel. Can’t remember exactly which one I went into for dinner, but i recall it was (in my opinion) Michelin level stuff and was surprisingly very reasonably priced for the quality. Plus there are other choices across the port, short walk.
Most appear to be open on Sundays.

Another vote for Honfleur... it's my regular stop off point before the tunnel - it's an easy drive to the tunnel from there.
The Hotel L'Ecrin is good with private/gated parking.

As above, Sunday (and Monday) are not a good days for restaurants in much of France - but Honfleur is always open.

Get the Michelin Guide app on your phone. We've used the actual book for years and have stayed in some fabulous hotels and eaten some brilliant meals and not at silly prices either. You can spend a fortune but there's no need as all price levels are considered and VFM is very important to the guide.
