Pop up headlight quick question!!

I recently took my speedo cable off my 350i to lubricate it. It is a bugger getting it on and off the speedo end but I did manage it. But now my headlights do not pop up! I imagine I have disturbed a wire. All fuses look fine ad they were working beforehand.

Any pointers as to what I might be looking for?

Wiring to the main light switch (side of the column? or is it elsewhere on your car) and the dip/main switch would be the obvious... but it is a wedge

I just spent an hour checking feed to all the relays and looking for obvious stuff. I eventually got bored and gave the wiring behind the dash where I was pushing my had in for the speedo cable, a good wobble. Lo and behold, they work again!!

I will have to have a proper look when it is light but I suspect a bad connection in a block connector, perhaps from the light switch? Ihave the wiring diagram in the 'bible' which is from TVR but of course they rarely show connectors on those diagrams!!

Over the years I've had a few issues with dodgy connections off the steering column. Every so ofter I now pull the multiplugs apart and give them a good dose of electrical contact cleaner.
