According to Aston Martin, the Ultimate Edition of the Vanquish S was limited to 175 cars. Does anyone happen to know how many were actually produced? I was only able to retrieve 159 valid Ultimate Edition VIN´s. Thank you!

Try contacting the Aston Martin Heritage Trust.
Fairly sure when production runs end, various information is given to AMHT for their historical archive.

Another possible source at AML, is Steve Waddingham, who I think now has the job title (all round good egg and) Historian.
Has been with Aston Martin for a long time, Newport Pagnell, Bloxham, Gaydon.

Doesn't answer the whole question but Tim Cottingham tells me that "Worldwide there were 54 Ultimate Vanquish VH3 Volantes. There are 36 in Ultimate Black. 27 UK cars, 19 of which were ultimate black.” The Ultimate range had three colours on offer, Ultimate Black, Xenon Grey, White Gold. Absolutely fabulous cars I think.

Good to know, thank you! I have 49 Volantes in my "database", so 5 are missing. My UK data seems to be complete, as I have 27 UK Volantes, of which 19 are Ultimate Black, 3 are White Gold and 5 are Xenon Grey.

@Jon39: Thank you as well, will try to contact AMHT or AML directly in case I am unable to find the remaining VIN´s.

Tim Cottingham is the contact at AMHT, so you now have his answer.

Steve Waddingham might be worth a try.
I know AML have a database showing at least a few details of each car they built;
The last portion of the chassis number.
Model.
(Think) colour.
Original dealer.
Start date of warranty.
Probably quite a lot more.

It might be a question of can someone be bothered to look, are they allowed to look, or are they allowed to tell you.
I get annoyed when people spout forth, "No can do, Data Protection."
Am sure data protection laws do not apply to inanimate objects.

Good luck.

Finally I was able to retrieve all 175 VH3 Vanquish Ultimate Edition cars, here are some insights (data from AML technical hub, E&OE):

There are:

121 Coupes: 1x Ming Blue, 1x Satin White Gold, 7x Stratus White, 13x White Gold, 30x Xenon Grey, 69x Ultimate Black (in total 55 Coupes in the UK)
54 Volantes: 6x White Gold, 2x Stratus White, 10x Xenon Grey, 36x Ultimate Black (in total 27 Volantes in the UK)
39 cars with full graphics pack
70 cars left hand drive, 105 cars right hand drive

Now I just have to buy one wink
