Exporting Racecar UK to Italy Permanently

Hello!

My father purchased a Ford GT40 in the UK, though lives in Italy. The car is not street legal

We did an ATA Carnet, but it is only valid for 12 months, where we had to bring the car back to stamp again. Now we have another 12 months on it.

Does anyone have any information on how to move this car permanently to Italy?
Not sure I am asking correctly, but if anyone has experience with this

Just export it, it's pretty simple, the vat & duty will depend on its age.
