PCNA Centrelock recall
Discussion
So the stop drive notice is proliferating across all territories now.
UK customers are being called - and the affected build dates range is expanding.
If you have a car build between September 2023 and October 2024 with Centrelock wheels - you could well be receiving a call or email.
Affects - GT3, 3RS 4RS, SRS, 911 and Panamera if fitted with centre lock wheels.
It's becoming quite serious it seems with estimated remediation from Porsche expected to be by (Feb) Spring 2025.
In the meanwhile - Porsche will be pumping out 992.2 GT3 lol.

Can I just do my usual stuck record thing and mention how much i detest centrelocks....?
LOL, you are not alone.I'm looking forward to the goodwill from Porsche although I expect it will not be as generous as some other more recent cases - although this one is probably further reaching

If the centre lock bolt develops a fracture, I’d expect the wheel to come loose as soon as the the tightening area on the bolt is no longer operating due to broken surface.
Extremely dangerous, as pointed by Porsche asking to keep the car parked.
Good thing is we’re only talking about a centre lock bolt and not hub, if I understand correctly.
How’s possible that replacement lock bolt won’t be avail before Feb 2025? Or is it because OPCs are fully booked to replace it?

Because they have to create extra capacity to make replacement bolts for the affected cars. 4x per car. This will take time.
They also need to have parts for new cars that they are currently selling and will prioritise over existing cars in the wild already bought and paid for.
And as said OPC are already stacked and probably claim to not have loaner cars… although I’m sure there’s at least a couple hundred taycan parked up somewhere gathering dust.

Interestingly the Centre Lock Bolt is not a unique "key" ... they are all the same.
So are we about to see "suitable" cars on bricks with their centre lock bolts removed to fit ANOther car ?
Lol. It wont be that bad. Driving season is over for alot of people… so this grounding is timely. So are we about to see "suitable" cars on bricks with their centre lock bolts removed to fit ANOther car ?
