Mk1 i20 2014 1.2 active, 36k miles.

For 9 months or so my eps has been vibrating, rough and noisy, it's getting worse so time to deal with it.

The rest of the steering (rack, suspension bushes, linkages top mounts etc has had the all clear) It manifests itself at parking speeds when most assistance is required, otherwise the car drives fine. The noise is coming from inside the cabin, it almost feels like its jumping a tooth. No warning lights. Not sure if its electrical (ECU/Motor) or mechanical (worm/crown wheel)

I've ordered a used steering column, the original ignition switch will be retained.

If it's fitted as a complete assembly, with the electrics (ecu and motor) is it plug and play on this generation? Or will the ECU need coding?
