Question about the Geo
Discussion
I did post this in the Life110 thread but I guess that as it's old, it's not getting read...
So my first distance late night blast the other night returning from Holland.
I am so enjoying this car, bought with 3800 miles at the end of August and it's already on 5800. It's filthy and I'm loving it
So thinking about having the Geo looked at but wondering if I really need to?
I do like the way the car jiggles about at speed, feels alive but never dangerous.
Is this what the Geo dials out?
Will the car end up feeling solid at speed like....say my Mustang GT?
Cheers all.

Well done for using your A110 properly. Mine is also usually covered in muck and I have no issue putting road trip miles on it. So my first distance late night blast the other night returning from Holland.

I had the geo done about a month ago (at 14000 miles). While I don't regret having it done at all, in the few hundred miles I've driven it since, I'd say it is less 'jiggly'. It's certainly a bit less fidgety and active on the motorway and is more stable if you like, and the steering is a touch heavier. Given I'd just done 2000 miles across Europe before having it done, that change was subtle but noticeable on the M6/M74 drive back to Scotland.
I've never driven a Mustang but the Alpine will always be a light car so I'm not sure about the solid comparison, just less fidgety.
I know what you mean about it feeling alive in the original settings, as if it's sometimes on tiptoes. I'd say it has lost a bit of that to be perhaps a bit more mature? Still huge fun of course. As others have said, it's a fully reversible thing to do if you don't like it.
I'm taking comfort that I know it's been set up properly by an expert at these things so I'll not be changing back any time soon. Even if I'm a hamfisted driver at least I know the car is doing things it should be!

Its highly unlikey that your car is setup as it should be ex factory, mine was not too bad but still "off", having the Life110 geo removed some of the nervousness, eradicated the steering dead spot and generally just made it better I had the geo done about a month ago (at 14000 miles).
