Polished fuel tank

Just wondered if anyone has a bare aluminium polished fuel tank rather than covered in carpet fitted to their car?
If so any pictures of how it looks?

I like this idea.
Wouldn’t it possibly increase the risk of corrosion or something placed inside the boot with sharpe edges puncture or scratching it and ruining your polishing work.

I just wondered if someone else had already done it.
Mine has too many marks on it already from stuff knocking it in the boot.
