Hi all

I don’t appear to have stop/start/eco....

Silver buttons either side of hazard switch are blanks.

We’re all C63 AMG Estates fitted with this feature? Have I overlooked something?

Thanks

2014 C63 estate owner here, no, I've never seen that. Even in my ML63 (same 6.2 V8 engine) there was no start/stop or eco function. The best you get is comfort mode on the dial (the one you inadvertantly turn when trying to mess around with the screen).

Perfect...thank you..

Thought it was a bit odd. Seen a couple of YouTube vids but must have been other models.

There really are nice cars...the estate is perfect

Thanks again

My W204 2012 C63 estate had no such buttons. Don't think I'd like that function on an engine that large.

I do believe there were some E class AMG models which had cylinder deactivation.

Just thinking, did you drive a pre-facelift W204 with the button instead of the wheel? It wasn't aside the hazard switch but was a button where you could rotate between (from memory), comfort, sport and manual. I understand that pre-facelift C63s probably had this arrangement as part of the interior layout.

6.2 V8 N/A monster engine which sounds glorious giving 17-18mpg....how could anyone imagine it having an eco button ?

My 6.2 Camaro SS had cylinder deactivation, sounds weird when it drops to 4. It does help a bit with the fuel consumption, but, who cares anyway.

I don't think you need to worry about that.
It appears that most drivers prefer to turn off the start/stop anyway.

The system was not very good until the Mercedes-Benz EQ Boost (Integrated Starter Generator) became a standard fit on most models. With that, the engine restarts silently, because the electric motor directly rotates the crankshaft. No meshing of starter motor gears, therefore no real reason to switch off the system.

When the EQ Boost cars are in Eco mode, the car will often freewheel downhill, although that might go unnoticed unless the tachometer happens to be displayed.

All 213 E63’s have cylinder deactivation….
