As a Hornet 900 owner I must admit I was hoping for something better looking (although not that hopeful based on previous images). That is a truely bland bike, looks a copy of a 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 which isn't a bike you'd think anyone would want to copy. I guess what they saved on design work has been passed through to the customer as it does look good value.

Hopefully it will hammer the resale values of the CB1000R, or even the dealer stock prices, as that's a much better looker and not that far behind performance-wise, then I'll get one of those cheap!

No you can still buy a new CB1000R. There is a brand new one on AT now at £9,250.

Looks like excellent VFM though not visually attractive. What's the point of a 150bhp 4cyl naked bike is a whole other question, but it's a huge amount of bike for the money.

Hats off to Honda for building an affordable bike that ticks most boxes. I think it looks great and for an extra 1k for the SP version that is still good value for money. Someone at Honda HQ has been looking at sales figures, Chinese stuff coming onto the market and thought they could go toe to toe, hope they sell loads of them.

Jeez the SP kit is good value. In that spec it looks rather Gucci!

I think Ducati may be a little cheesed off with that front end!

Really pisses me off they can't fit an IMU. So many other bikes now come with one that this seems a bit backwards - even the NT has one, not to mention small capacity KTMs so they can't throw the cost excuse.

Either none or not as sophisticated angle-sensing ABS, yeah. Wheelie control, better traction etc all suffer.

Let’s see how the road tests go but I’m 99% in for one of these. I have a tourer bike so this would be great for the more day to day stuff and hopefully will have the usual Honda quality.

Fantastic value for money. Looks like Honda are adopting the same approach as they did with the 750 Hornet - undercut all the competition on price.

More power than I would ever need but will be interested to read the reviews when they are published.

Even the new Speed Twin 900 gets an IMU. Not sure that one needs it. Think the Trident does too. With 150hp? Yeah this probably needs it!
