Dog Coat With Decent Length?

Our dog is normal (sized), but all the dog coats we see are too short in the body. The one we have keeps coming undone at the neck (it's just a velcro fastening), and we don't want to buy another with a better fastening if it's still going to be too short.

It's for rain and sub-zero temperatures, and I just want one that goes around the neck with a strap/band under the ribcage. We don't want sleeves or natty hats.

I don't see why we need to spend more than, say £80.

Any recommendations?

For very low temps (below freezing) I have dry robe coats for my 2. Well insulated, good length, waterproof and easy to fit (just slips over head and wide velcro strap wraps under ribcage). Not really a fan of their image/brand but who gives a crap for a dog coat? Think it was only £40 and has lasted well as have had them 3 years and used a lot during muddy walks, etc

Also, I think you can take dogs into Pets at Home to try on coats if you have one locally (and assuming they have a decent selection).

We have the DryRobe coat for our Doberman, decent quality and keeps him dry and relatively warm

We have. They were all too short.

Hmm, dog coats are one of my wife's obsessions and with 4 dogs of varying sizes and shapes we have hundreds of the feckin things.....

From memory, but bear in mind i've probably only ever seen half of our collection....

I think ours have Jaegr fleeces but they also do other coats and in lots of sizes. I know they do L versions of each size which I think are longer.

Thank you. We bought a Dryrobe one, but it's too warm this kind of weather, so the Jaegar one looks good...

My mum swears by the equafleece ones she's bought for her dog. Mine simply won't wear one!

They have a lot of different 'suit' type ones, but also do more typical ones, and their sizing is quite different to other brands so seem to provide better coverage especially for dogs with deep rib cages.
