Stupid question re folding seat not locked alert

In my G31 whenever I fold rear seats down to carry something I’m stuck with seats not locked alert. Am I doing something wrong or is that normal? Many thanks

AFAIK it is just telling you that the seats aren't locked, as obviously if you were carrying a passenger they should be.

It's normal. Mine is the same, very annoying for an estate car where you regularly have the back seats folded down. Shame it can't distinguish between that and a seat dangerously unlocked, ie upright but just not locked.
