Have to say I hesitated buying my January ticket this morning.
I had the same thought, I only bought a couple where as normally I pick up 4 and see who is around closer to the time. Not easy to see why its going up other than it is selling out every time so they are trying their luck. Seems like Ticketmaster tax rather than price if the actual ticket.

Given that the trades working in the units are mostly the same each time I wonder why it attracts the thousands that it does. I go perhaps once every couple of years but not more frequently.
I’m the same in all honesty. Each to their own but I really don’t get it especially at a now £50 for a couple of tickets.It’s now farcically expensive. As said, used to be free, then you’d pay for a car and occupants, then it was individual ticketed and prices have continued to climb.
At what point do people say enough- I’m being ripped off. I’m there now to be honest. I’m sure they’ll still sell out but although it’s a decent way to spend a couple of hours it’s now priced way too high.

While all the events seem to sell out well in advance then there's unlikely to be any price reductions as long as people with fancy cars keep turning up, and I suspect they are owned by the sort of folk who are time poor and don't care how much it costs to attend as they get to block out a morning in their busy schedule to chat with their motoring chums for a couple of hours. I still think its worth it as one of my favourite events, but a little disappointed the only way to apply to show your car in the tech site is by paying £69 for the Pegasus membership. It gets you some perks and free entry to the assemblies and I dare say judging by the cars in the car park and display many will do the 'upgrade'

For me the point is 2025... I've been going since the days they were free and it's just turned into a greedy money making event rather than an event for enthusiasts. I got caught out on that as the VAT gets put under ‘extra charges’ and because I wasn’t paying attention I saw it as £5 additional ‘admin charge’.
Usually these sell out within in a week or two of going on sale so maybe people have voted with their feet?
I do think if they are upping the charges, they will have to provide ‘more’ than just people essentially parking their own cars up on their grounds.

Phew! Wasn't just me who spotted this and hesitated.
Also think a bit cheeky jumping prices for the quietest Scramble of the year. Understandably the January meet is always quieter as lot of exotics don't come out of hibernation til Spring. May still go to meet other folks but it's getting steep. That price for the spring/summer meets feels slightly more palatable.

Is Ticketmaster a new thing? They sold previous ones on Eventbrite and the fees were reasonable.
As others have said it was good when it was free and then progressively got busier and busier. I recall one time (even when it was charged) it was soooo busy and turned into a bunch of Lambos doing a rev battle near one of the main hangers as they navigated the crowds.
That seemed to be a turning point as the ticket prices rocketed and they started to limit the numbers.
