Intermittent sound from ICE

Hi new owner so please be gentle

One week in loving the drive but seem to have a problem with the radio/sat nav in that start the car and no sound from radio sat nav streaming from my phone and then randomly it will pipe up and work as normal.

Following day same problem looked at all the settings reset everything and still no joy, anything I can try before I call it in to the dealer

Once it pipes up does it continue to play?

If so, could just be a delay while the connection to the phone is established?

Away last week tried everything, occasionally it would pipe up but on trip home 5 hours no music had to talk to the wife

No

I probably should have been clearer, getting no sound whatever the source. The bar appears when you raise/lower the volume, mute when you pull both together but nothing from the speakers.

I say nothing occasionally you get a burst of sound for example less than a minutes worth in the course of a 5 hour drive last weekend. Also doesn’t matter which source you use FM/AM/DAB/USB/Steaming or sat nav

I've had my PE for 4 years now and other than occasional dab drop outs that are same in other cars and a frustrating issue with SD card playing that finally sorted I've never had issues with mine
The symptoms in my post suddenly came on out of nowhere
Like you i could turn sound up and down and mute but no difference
It wouldn't actually let me in to the media to select between the am FM or dab and as I didn't have an SD card that wasn't an option
I asked Manchester to check mine and will be picking it up on Friday so I'll update on if they found anything
