This is strange. A man breaks in to do household chores.

I can see how this would be very disturbing for the householder. But I can’t get my head around what the ‘burglar’ was up to.

I doubt he was jailed just for doing that.

I suspect it’s breaking and entering along with four previous convictions for offences including common assault, public order offences, and failing to surrender.

It's not quite as cleancut as the title makes out. He broke into this and other houses to use their facilities and make himself a meal. I mean, it's low level stuff but still.

If he was hoovering, maybe had the lights on etc then a charge of Abstracting Electricity would almost certainly have been applied - always been a robust one to use on an arrest and charge for unusual crimes!
