Autocar giving more details on the Inster which is due out next year.

Bit of poor timing given that the Renault 5 electric first drive reviews have also come out today, and the Hyundai looks expensive next to the indicated pricing for the Renault. Obviously these days it depends on the "monthlies" but id imagine that the Renault would be competitive here too.

A bit of a shame as I like Hyundai but I can't see where this will get sales from at the pricing/ range indicated compared to the competition.

I've been keeping an eye on the Hyundai, does come across as expensive for a city car/supermini sized. I know the the Dacia Spring has a shorter range, but a top spec version massively undercuts this.

That’s a face not even a mother could love. Who looked at the final drawings and thought it’d be a good idea to build that.

I rather like it, there's bags of character. But there again I liked the 1990s Fiat Multipla (and even owned one - a friend of mine nicknamed it Uglipa, preferred the Catbus/Nekobus that some in Japan called it) - so I may be considered mad.

edit - should add I've been watching early reviews of these on Carscenekorea (I think) and I do like the way they have been implemented, some really good ideas.

Dealers are imminently (Northwich on 30/10/2024) holding events where customers can get hands on with the car, but I don't see test drives being promoted.

I’m sure the car will be Greta, however we had no end of issues and lies from Hyundai and their dealers in the south

+1 on the Inster, and the Mk1 Multipla (before Fiat ruined it...)

I've made an enquiry about when it 's going to be launched.

Dealer demos arrive in Feb apparently and the first customer cars end March/early April.

My local dealer a bit more pessimistic on timescales, says demo car Mar/Apr., but they'll let me know

My north London dealer says April for a showroom car and 4-5 months delivery if ordered now. Tempted not to order and see if discounts become available.

Anyone have any experience of the Digital key option; is it worth it?

Or whether keyless entry can be turned off? Mindful of theft vulnerabilities on other Hyundais and Kia cars.

Your dealer was right. I spoke to our dealer today. Demos in the next fortnight and first customer cars mid May. We ordered an 02 in the camo green back in Jan so hopefully will meet expectation. Only chose this over the Renault 5 as the rear seating offers more room for Amazonian teenagers.
