Car off bridge onto carriageway M3 J3
Discussion
Blimey, looking online at the times reported i must have missed that by about 5 - 10 minutes. I was only reading about a similar incident on the M6 earlier in the day.
I assume the bridge with the concrete barriers is the Ravenswood r/bout then? - that's been a nasty setup since they chucked a combination of cones and barriers there when they started the M3 roadworks below. People not slowing down / giving way, going too fast, ignoring the fact there's only one lane going round one side of the r/bout and gouging in to avoid clattering the cones, etc.

People are saying that the barriers weren't repaired from a previous accident in the same place a few months earlier, this car went straight through the same area
Correct, been sat like that for 5 months, a tragic way to lose someone, presumably heading home from work. krisdelta said:

Correct, been sat like that for 5 months, a tragic way to lose someone, presumably heading home from work. There has been "temporary" lane closures on that roundabout for months now.
As you approach from FPH side it's a sweeping left hand corner onto the roundabout. There are cones narrowing the entrance to one lane and you have to slow considerably to ensure no one is approaching from your right.
There is a wall of large concrete blocks on the inside perimeter to protect the weakened barrier.
Driving that way in the direction he was going, it's very hard to work out how he could have made it over the barrier at all.
Very bizarre accident especially given it was rush hour as well and that road is always busy,

Heading into Camberley on Thursday i noticed the roadworks / cones / concrete barriers had all vanished since the day before so must have finally done the long overdue repairs overnight. Shame they couldn't also bother to fix the various developing potholes / fissures that have been developing over the last year or so which will probably open up even more as soon as the freezing temps start.
Disgusting that it took the death of somebody for the various parties involved to finally decide / figure out who was responsible for the repairs and sort it out. My guess would be had the death not occurred those cones and concrete barriers would have still been there next year.
Although i do wonder how long it will be before there are new roadworks there as a few areas of the road appear to have gained some technical paint markings.
