I have a question I would appreciate members thoughts on.
Currently I have a 2003 Facelift Discovery S2 on 112K miles. Good original condition with no outstanding faults. I have owned the vehicle for 10 years, do all my own repairs and maintenance and find it ideal for my life style. It sits outside, has had the usual S2 issues sorted and (for a Land Rover) is reasonaby reliable.
However I hanker for a newer Discovery model, the S4, maybe 2015/16 and as such would appreciate forum members thoughts regarding the S4 against the S2 and whether they would change if the opportunity arose. Aso what are the issues on the S4 regarding reliability, ease of mantenance running cost etc
What about other makes/models?
Thanks in anticipation.

Have a D4 Landmark. 150k miles. It’s awesome. Few bits and bobs over the years, AirCon compressor being the biggest.

I wish I still had my Disco S2. It got hit by a drunk driver and written off. It was the last reliable LR I owned.

Replaced it with a D4 which destroyed it's engine. I got rid of it while it was still under warranty.

I now drive a Toyota Hilux.
