Tw*ts have cars seized…
Discussion
“Car meet” spends the night driving around most of Hampshire, three cars seized by plod during the course.

A modest intervention but good to see action of some sort at least, having that circus parading all the way from Winchester to Southampton to Portsmouth is royally taking the p*ss. We occasionally have the pleasure of the Pops & Bangs Owners Club using the very obviously residential road past our place on a weekend evening, can’t say I’m a huge fan.

They have others on the list for seizure. This story is a little follow up from a very poor local rag.

Interesting that they appear to be capturing evidence at the time and then following up with door knocking etc afterwards, given the obvious difficulties of dealing with such a volume of vehicles at the scene. And easy for them to do simply by standing in plain clothes in the assembled crowds and filming. I wonder what proportion are running false plates etc!https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/24616097.third-ar...

Good.
No doubt they turned up, took over the park and ride carpark blocking legitimate users, drove like tts risking everyone in the area (involved or not) and left a mess for the community/P&R service to clean up.
In the process probably supplying loads of material for people opposed to events to use to object to those (trying to) doing it properly (i.e. seeking suitable locations (e.g. former runways) where it can be done more safely, planning/event consent from councils, police/fire/ambulance service support/involvement to run it safely/handle if it does go wrong etc.

‘No doubt’ and ‘Probably’ are doing a lot of heavy lifting there…No doubt they turned up, took over the park and ride carpark blocking legitimate users, drove like tts risking everyone in the area (involved or not) and left a mess for the community/P&R service to clean up.
