Tribute to John Peel
Discussion
Sorry if it's been done but I can't see anything on it.
Heard on the radio earlier that a tribute record is going to be recorded to John Peel - it's a cover of The Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen In Love?" with Dave Gilmour, Robert Plant, and some other "proper" musicians.
Can't find anything on Google.
How good does that sound? :lick:

Not as good as Buzzcocks doing it I would imagine.....
Well The Buzzcocks had an excellent raw sound and John Peel loved that song, but putting musicians of that calibre together they could play any old shite and it would be worth listening to!
ZR1Cliff, why is that funny? John Peel died about 6 months ago. Sorry if I've had a sense of humour failure or missed a joke somewhere but I thought it sounded good...

Rockers to record Peel single
4.01PM, Thu Sep 22 2005
Musicians Robert Plant and Roger Daltrey have joined a line-up of stars to record a tribute single to the late DJ John Peel.
It is a cover version of Ever Fallen In Love by the Buzzcocks, one of Peel's favourite records.
Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks, who wrote the song, will appear on the single alongside Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, New Order's Peter Hook and Jeff Beck.
Newer acts include The Futureheads, El Presidente and The Datsuns.
Many of the bands owe their careers to Peel.
Gordon Moakes of Mercury Prize nominees Bloc Party has created the cover art and proceeds from the record will go to Amnesty International, a political campaign group which Peel supported.
The tribute single is the brainchild of Peel's son, Tom Ravenscroft.
The record is released on November 21 to coincide with Peel's induction into the UK Music Hall of Fame.
