430CUP Exhaust Valve Button Installation

Hi All,

I have recently got into a 430CUP, awesome car. Mine didn't have the exhaust valve button installed and I know this was not standard on the 430, but am aware others have fitted, so I simply purchased the part an installed! Unlike the other models that I have been able to find reference to on the web which appear to be plug and play, alas this is not the case on the 430!

Has anyone come across this issue? I am assuming that the ECU needs to be 'fiddled' with to get this to work and if so is this a visit to my local dealership or is there a OBC reader (like Carly) which I could purchase to do it myself?

FYI, on the 430 Cup, even with the button installed it only works in Normal mode and not Sport or Race.

Thanks Implus1 for the prompt response, I wasn't aware of that, but good to know... issue is that its not working yet in normal mode so I assume this will programming?

Yes I think so, as my car had already had it done prior to my purchase and it was done at a dealer by the previous owner from memory

I'll get it looked at when it goes in for service then! At least I am not going mad !
