Ace!

How do you find the seats? Did you compare to the Comp ones?

Yea all good with the seats, plenty comfortable enough and supportive, plus heated and electric is this car, nothing to complain about really! I get that some people think they are not befitting of an M car, but i like them. Perhaps in my car its less of an issue as the other interior bits lift it a notch and it still feels special inside, imo anyway.

I haven't tried comp seats in an M2, but as far as i know they're the same seats as in non comp M3/M4's, which I have experienced and whilst they're OK they don't blow my mind either. M4 comp seats maybe but i couldn't handle the stitching not being blue/matching!

Perfect. Realistic Dream car for me one of these, probably in Mineral Grey too.

I really like the original M2, I've looked a few times at getting one and always seem to favour the non comp (although I would swap the seats). Sure to be a future classic in my opinion

What does OG mean?

Presumably not original gangster.

Lovely car OP... been looking at M2s a lot recently and that's a cracking spec.

The OGs are a lot of car for the money and with a few wee tweaks (seats being one of them!) I think they are a brilliant little package. I'd actively choose an LCI OG over a Competition too, despite the price difference being relatively marginal, because the N55 sounds leagues better than the S55 engine, even with any kind of exhaust modification.

OriGinal model, which is powered by a single turbo N55 engine rather than the Competition model which is powered by the twin-turbo S55 engine from the F8x M3/M4.

I’d choose one of these over a Competition every single time just because of the wheels. The Competition ones look terrible and also ruin the ‘stance’

Lovely car!

I thought the OP’s car is an LCI.

OG = Orignal
LCI = Facelift without the grey dials
Comp = S55 engine

Yeah I've tried to have that bun fight before, but it has pretty much become OG, Comp and CS.

Congratulations! You have great taste in cars and colours.

Mines a 2018 OG in Mineral Grey also. smile

Really love it. Had it coming 2 years now. A huge step up from our previous M140i.

Which is fair enough actually, given the very small differences between OG & LCI.

Yeah a few years back it was maybe more of note, but as you say there's not a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. Some nice tweaks but there are people who prefer the pre LCI car.

This is the colour I’d pick if I was to buy an OG M2, recently drove a mates modified M2 Comp and it was unbelievably quick, think a standard powered car is more than enough.

I would concur on all of that.

If someone wants to chase big BHP for whatever reason then a Comp is a better starting point.

However the OG is plenty quick for road use and will map to over 400bhp with a stage 1 map.

I honestly thought I'd get mine mapped but it really doesn't need it.

Mine puts a big grin on my face even just by starting it up. The engine is so much more characterful than the S55 and sounds so much better too.

Two years of ownership have just flown by and I really don't know what I'd change it to to notably better the overall package.

That's a lovely car!

I went on a Welsh Road trip in 2021 and someone took a Long Beach Blue M2 which looked fantastic. Maybe a future option for a serial BMW owner..
