Is Motul High Torque DCTF equivalent to Renault DW5 oil? Some suppliers say it is and others don’t.

Rocket.

I am using the Motul high torque DCTF in mine and it's fine.

Actually a good improvement in the 4 year old, 25,000 mile oil that was in my car.

Many thanks, mines done 21k and changing the gearbox oil seems like cheap insurance. Ordered the Motul from Opie oils for £76 delivered 😀

I'm planning to do an 18k gearbox oil change, which is fast approaching.

Any tips or notes on how your change goes would be most appreciated...!

It was dead easy just drove it up on ramps, got the car up to normal water temp, removed 10 torx screws which may have been T30 and another dozen or so bigger torx screws, drop the under tray, loosen the plastic butterfly gearbox oil filler plug at the top of the diff housing on the left hand side. Then the drain plug is an 8mm hex bolt. Drain plug back in. Used a £12 Neilson 1 litre fluid pump to refill with circa 3.5 litres, ran it up and then under tray back on.

My car had done 21k very gentle miles, with no launch control starts and the old gearbox oil was a wee bit black. Seems smoother now but that could be psychosomatic ?? Will be changing it at least every 20k miles going forward.

In terms of filling it up, I just used a length of hosepipe and a funnel. Keep adding until it seeps out of the fill hole
