If you thought this year's race was good, wait 'til you see - and hear - what's in store for '25
We’ve just about caught our breath after this year’s nail-biter of a 24 Hours of Le Mans. The scrap between Ferrari, Porsche and Cadillac during the opening hours of the race, the various rainstorms throwing the field into complete disarray, and a loose door nearly costing the number 51 Ferrari 499P a shot at victory are just a handful of reasons why it was a belter. As it is every year, frankly, so make sure to clear 11th to 15th June 2025 in your diary, as you’re not going to want miss next year’s 24.
Yes, yes, there’s still the best part of ten months still to go, but the race has been so utterly gripping these past few years that tickets have been selling out much faster than usual. You can thank the booming response to the hypercar regulations for that, with 23 entrants split across nine manufacturers in the top class alone in 2024 - up from just five in 2022. And there’ll be a new team in town for next year’s race, with Aston Martin finally bringing a prototype version of the V12 Valkyrie to the fray. That alone is a good enough reason to join us at la Sarthe next June.
As ever, we’ll be camping within a stone’s throw of the circuit with 1st Tickets. Not only does that mean you’ll never be far away from the action, but you’ll also get a load of perks such as:

The fact is though, this is THE endurance race. So perhaps that’s where the obsession from fans comes from.
Not sure how it is unhealthy either.
For ease of attending, history and all round enjoyment of track activities and surrounding things like socializing in France, I can’t think of other endurance races that would offer close to the experience. Different experiences, but not Le Mans 24 experience.
I've booked the Eurotunnel as last year I found they'd all sold out. So I booked the crossing as soon as the ACO announced the dates for next year. No luck booking hotels in Le Mans, they were all sold out when I looked.
So I think I'll repeat what I did for 2024 - stay in a nearby town (40 mins away) and commute to the free blue parking on the Sunday.
I've been for 20 years. Obviously a lot has changed, not all of it good. It's a lot more commercial and crowded now. Not to mention far, far more expensive. Why? Well all the Hypercar teams bringing their corporate clients. But how much longer are the likes of Peugeot going to spend millions of Euros to toddle round at the back?
Personally, I wish you all that are going all the very best. I hope you have a great time. But there are other, better value, just as exciting endurance races over 24hours available.
Demand at usual campsite down on last year so tickets and car parks should be a bit easier to obtain.
Spa 6 hour in early May is good too - great viewing but a bit colder at night than Le Mans in mid-June, Spa did have a lot more sun though.
