Alright people,

Need a cheap ish family car. When I say family, I need to be able to fit a Double Pushchair in the boot.

Now, I’m coming from a well spec’d mk2 VW Tiguan with DSG / Pan Roof / Full Leather etc, so I want something similarly spec’d. MUST BE AUTO. I’m done with Manuals.

Reason for the change is I want to release cash from my Tiguan as I’m starting a new business.

Budget is up to £5000 and I want something headache free (which is a probably a given).

I like going for a 20-30 mile drive every week or two into the country, so would appreciate comfort and a decent sound system!

What do you guys suggest?

EDIT: I live in Birmingham - I don’t want anything that’s got a Push Button to Start. You can guess why…

Mazda 6 estate. Petrol not diesel. Not the fastest things around but spacious, comfy and good to drive. Nice interiors, Bose stereo option. Some.good colours available and generally v easy to live with.

Was in a similar position last month and ended up in an Evoque. Also looked at hybrid ds5, audi s4 avant. Chose the evoque mainly as it was close by.

ETA didnt see the no push button start, oops!

No direct experience, but what the used mondeo estate market like?

We have a 58plate Fiesta on 150k and its takes some beating for cost/reliability.

Else yeah, Superb would be my thoughts.
