Hi all

The headlights on my s3 are pants (almost dangerously poor). Anyone know of a good aftermarket kit to upgrade them?

Thanks

Hi, I have added some Philips Ultinon Pro9100 LED bulbs. They are better than standard but not up there with the modern OEM LED matrix headlights.

I’d read that LED lights don’t actually throw much light onto the road? Given the car has been available since what- 2011, with the same light unit, is there nothing available as the default ‘go to’?

Apologies- I just looked at the Philips site. These actually look like a good option. Seems they are now selling the Pro9200.

It was Paul's Exige thread that lead me to them. If you do go for them then you will also need a pair of larger rubber dust caps to fit over them as they have a longer body. Paul dug out the ebay link in his thread. If you can't find it let me know and I will search my ebay orders and get it for you.

Edited to add a link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125636086837

That is not the original item that I purchased as no longer available, but they were also 85mm inner diameter, so hopefully will do the job.

The Elise has HB3/4 , I tried to fit the
Pro9100 but there was not enough room between the rear of the bulb and the wheel arch liner as they stuck out much further than standard when the caps mentioned above are added.

I put it down to the difference in front clam to the Exige.

Would like to get a solution but as it’s only a couple times were out in dark on way back from early or late season ( for us ) TDs , it’s a first world problem and I just put up with the ungraded incandescent osram nightsearchers for now

Apologies, in my first reply I should have clearly stated that it was a S3 Exige rather than Elise that I'd succeessfully intalled the Philips Pro LED bulbs in.

As mentioned in my post above I bought the pro9100 and returned them as they did not fit

Not looked at the pro9200 spec to see if they are any smaller
