Service history update?

Had my slk serviced last week at an independent garage. He told me he couldn’t update the electronic service history himself but that I should be able to do it by uploading a photo of the invoice/bill he gave me for the work to Mercedes myself.
Anyone know how I do this?

I can't see any Merc dealer doing this.

Depends on your local dealer, ours refused to do so. Just redact the personal details and include the invoice when you sell the car.

You’d think you could view the electronic history yourself somehow though.

You can view the history yourself, you just can’t give Mercedes an invoice from a random garage, who don’t subscribe to the dealer system and expect them to treat it as legitimate.
