Tyres - Review and Recommend

Review First - I recently changed the tyres on my Triumph Scrambler 1200 from the original nobblies (can't remember the exact spec) to Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3's and the difference it has made to the way the bike rides is unbelievable. It's gone from being a good looking bimbler to a proper motorbike. I wish I'd done it sooner.
Recommend next - I've been through a front tyre on my Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR in 3000 miles. They came with Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa SP tyres.
They are good but don't inspire the confidence that I had expected / hoped for and 3000 miles is a bit s
t. Given my very positive experience with a recent tyre change, I'm hoping to replicate this on my other bike. I think I'd like a sporty road tyre rather than a track day / supersport tyre to replace them with but am open to another option.
Should I try another brand of super sport tyre or a slightly less hardcore tyre like:
Michelin Pilot Power 2CT
Michelin Power 6
Metzeler Roadtec 02
Pirelli Diablo Rosso III
etc.
Any and all recommendations and suggestions welcome.

Going into winter I'd recommend the Dunlop mutants.
I'm honestly astounded at how good they are in the wet and gravel strewn roads - like nothing else I've ever tried.
Went to Hayling a few weeks ago in a storm and it's the fastest I've ever ridden in the rain.
I heard plinking and couldn't understand what it was until I realised it was gravel hitting the sump guard - and other tyre and I'd have felt it.
Other sports touring tyres are good in bad weather bur these are something else.

I have Road 6 on one bike that I use year around and touring they are fantastic, have been caught out in heavy rain for many hours and really inspired confidence.
I had Pirelli Supercorsa on my MV , used to use it in summer only and went through a few sets of Supercorsa before changing to Diablo Rosso Corsa IV which are a much better all round sporty road tyre. Work better on cold mornings and in the rain. Wear much better too, probably get at least 75% more out of a rear compared to Supercorsa.

Second this. After a decade of throwing a different sports touring tyre each time (K1300S x 2 and a GS and an S1000RR and a KTM 1290 GT), I've got no intention to change from the Road 6. Flipping great in Europe, flipping great in wet/dry UK. Plus the most miles I've got on the GT, and that was on the tyre that went to Europe!...

Did you have Road 5s before? I used Angel GTs for a while, went to Road 5 thinking I'd get more miles, but its about the same, 4k on the rear. On a S1000R, I like going fast but I'm not going full chat the whole time. Are 6s going to be better?Edited by P675 on Saturday 21st September 16:58

My Scrambler came with Metzeler Tourance. Currently fitted with Michelin Anakee Adventure.Never loved them but didn’t realize quite how bad they were until after I changed them.
Is your tyre requirement for road use only or will it include track days?
If road use then the likes of the Michelin Road 5 or 6, or the Metzler RoadTec 01SE or 02SE will give more grip in every road condition than you're going to need. I've ridden on all bar the new 02SE, and have had no grip issues, despite having some real twisties fun on some big and powerful bikes.
I have a slight preference for the 01SEs over the Road 6s but both are great tyres and last over 7000 miles on my H2 SX.

I've been a solid Michelin or Pirelli rider and recently put the RS4's on my Monster 1200 and they are brilliant. Great performance in all weathers and the profile is better than the Pilot Road's so they feel faster, more

t but they're better than the sports equivalent on the road.Black K1 is right. Michelin Road 6 or similar is all you need.
Just put a new Road 6 rear on. Paid £350 for a pair of Road 5s last May. Previous rear lasted 7k, this one just under 5k but that did include 3 x track days & an 1800 mile tour 2 up with luggage.
New tyre was £247 fitted, I took the wheel off so saved £20ish quid there.
Prices are crackers...

Thanks chaps. Seems like lots of recommendations for out and out road Tyres and specifically Michelins.
I presume the Pirelli equivalent would be the Angel GT? Seems the Michelin is more popular.
